Dear Mrs. McCormac: It was with a deep sense of sadness that Mrs. Brown and I learned of the death of your husband and our good friend, George. His passing is a great loss to our post and I am sure the members of R.C. "Connie" Burns join me in expressing our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I am enclosing a resolution transferring him to the post everlasting. George McCormac set an example of concern and devoting to his follows citizens which won him the profound respect of his colleagues and the enduring admiration of all who new him. While words have little meaning at this time Mrs. Brown and I want you to know that our hearts and prayers are with you. You may be sure that your husband will be remembered with affection and he will continue to enrich the lives of countless people who new him. Sincerely: Rex N. Brown
