[left side]
Georg Röhrmoser

[right side]
Prayerful remembrance of the virtuous young man Georg Röhrmoser, economist's son from Peißen in Wertach, soldier in the 1st Infantry Regiment, 4th Company, who, on 19 October 1916, in his 27th year and after 8 months of combat activity, suffered a hero's death due to a grenade in heavy combat on the Somme.

O my father, siblings,
I will no longer return home to you,
The last thought, last gaze,
Hurried still back to you.
As I fell on foreign land,
Nobody reached out their hand;
Yet as I passed,
I saw the heavens open.

My Jesus, Mercy!
Sweet heart of Mary, be my love!
Our Father.Ave Maria.
