Dear Friends,
I thank you both sincerely for the birthday greetings you send me, as well as the package, whose contents should and will taste great. I gather from the newsletter I received that Carl R. is doing well. Unfortunately he hasn't answered my postcards. It will also be difficult to meet with him upon my return to the field, since my regiment has moved away. How are the children doing? I'd be glad if Liesel would make sure things in Minden are taken care of.
Best regards,
Your Karl Dreyer

Ihr Lieben!
Euch beiden
danke ich herzl.
für die mir
zu meinem
Geburtstage gesandten
Glückwünsche nebst
Paketchen, deren Inhalt
mir gut munden wird
u. soll. Daß es Carl R. gut
geht, entnehme ich aus
dem Rundbrief, den ich er-
hielt. Leider hat er mir
nicht auf meine Karten
geantwortet. Es wird auch
schwer sein, daß ich ihn bei
meiner Rückkehr ins Feld
treffe, da mein Rgmt.
fortgekommen ist. Wie
geht es den Kindern? Es
würde mich freuen, wenn
Liesel mal in Minden nach
dem Rechten sähe.
Herzl. Gruß
Euer Karl Dreyer
