1. Before the clothing cards (upper left) and the segments (on the reverse) are given out to the officers they must be provided with a service stamp from the supervising service position. Cards and segments without a stamp are invalid.
2. Every holder of a clothing card must complete the above form with name, service level and troop section by hand and write the number of the clothing card (upper right) on every segment.
3. The segments are to be cut out on the dotted points and to be given out at the issuing service points or included in the order.
4. Further particulars can be seen from the information sheet about the supplies of the officers with clothing pieces etc. It is suggested that every officer get one from the troop division.
[Most of the coupons have been removed from the rations book, but the remaining clothing coupons are for neckties (2), an undervest, a pair of knit gloves, a head protector (Kopfschützer), a pair of wristlets (Pulswärmer), a shirtwaist, a wool blanket, and towels (2).]
From the service of German officer Fritz Sabersky who served as leader of the Sanitary Company 3 (Sanitätskompagnie 3 Garde-Reserve-Korps) from 1915 to 1916 and after March 1917 as an instructor at the Royal Prussian Army Gas School in Berlin (Königlich Preußische Heeres-Gasschule).
