Osnabrück, 3 August

Dear Frieda,
I would like to share with you and your husband that now Conrad Lange has also fallen, on 28 June. We don't know any more details right now. An acquaintance of the Langes, a Mr. Hesse, wrote first.

[back]
Aunt Amalie, Grete, and Ella went to Holte to recover. Georgi just left today, when the message came, to tell it to Aunt. What heavy sacrifices Aunt has to make for the Fatherland.
Friendly regards,
your
Mali Volkmann
