Prayer to the Mother of God in the Cloister Church in Ettal:
O kindest Virgin Mary, most beautiful lily of our desolate valley, whose graceful countenance in its lovely image reveals your heavenly innocence, humility, and love, by which you draw to yourself the hearts of all people who see and honor you, and awaken them to follow you: I pray you, gracious Mother, that you will take me up in your lap, as you do for all who commit themselves to your protection, stand by me as I depart this vale of tears, and lead me into the eternal mansions of heaven, so that I may eternally see, love, and praise Jesus there, your divine Son. Amen.
