Catalog Number 1927.21.8
Object Name Postcard, Inscribed
Accession number 1927.21
Description Caption on front of image: 1914 Revigny- Stockade built by the engineers in place of the destoyed bridge.

Inscription on Back, Transcribed: The French forgot they had this town until the Americans came along and found it. It is the only town near here that has not been shelled. There has not been a building touched, but the Germans were in this town. We are getting ready to leave here and I think when we move it will be toward home. Most of the fellows are figuring on getting in about six weeks and I have hopes that they are right. I will let you know as soon as I arrive and I may know when I can come home to stay.
