Description Christmas card sent from William Letts from the U.S.S. Wyoming to Miss Bertha E. Smith of St. Joseph. Front of card includes an embossed image of a golden bald eagle with an American flag shield and holly as well as flags of Allied nations Great Britain, France, U.S., Belgium, Italy, and Russia.

Greeting inside card: "Christmas Greetings / from / U.S.S. Wyoming" with handwritten addition below, transcribed: "Best Wishes from / William E. Letts."

From the service of William E. Letts, Coxswain U.S. Navy. Letts enlisted April 1, 1916, trained at the U.S. Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Illinois, served aboard the U.S.S. Wyoming, and was honorably discharged on March 25, 1920.
