The first correspondence is from Captain Hardie Lynch, M.C. Base Hospital #163, Cap Bowie to the camp surgeon dated December 8, 1918.
1.Examined Capt. E.J. Hamner Oct. 21, 1918, 8:30 P.M. Made diagnosis of severe attack Influenza and so reported to his organization of Oct. 22, 1918, A.M. Different members of his organization saw him each day during his illness
The second correspondence is from Camp Surgeon J.G. Ingold, Camp Bowie, Texas, to Captain Eldon F. Fuller at the same camp.
