This map is composed of three separate maps from the French map series "Groupe des Canevas de Tir" that have been cut and taped together. The three maps used are titled "Argonne" (Catalog# FR-GC1-arg), "Montfaucon" (Catalog# FR-GC1-mon), and "Etain" (Catalog# FR-GC1-eta). The maps were printed by G-2-C, 1st Army; Base Printing Plant, 29th Enginners, U.S. Army.
Additions made by hand and with a rubber stamp in red ink to indicate front line advancements, locations of Allied and Central Power units, troop movements, and more. A legend for the additions is located at the bottom of the map and includes inscription: "Graphic Summary - G-2 First Army A.E.F. / Legend".
Handwritten on back of map: "Graphic Summary / in the Argonne / by / G.2.C. 1st Army / Sgt. S.M. Willis".
