A letter from the National Military Sisterhood of America to the women of Kansas
This letter is a mass letter to the woman of Kansas. It begins by saying it is up to woman to receive and soldiers and see to it that they get the recognition they deserve. The rest of the leader explains what the Sisterhood is. It states that the goal of the Sisterhood is to promote sisterly love and mutual helpfulness, to create a maintain patriotic sentiment and to administer to the spiritual and material needs of the soldiers and family. The letter clarifies that any women who had a man in some sort of service may join. The letter then explains the different kinds of committees that the Sisterhood has. It then explains that the sisterhood is doing everything it can to be as effective as possible. It also states that Kansas is wishing to create a personal history of the war, and implies that the woman should add to this. The letter ends by imploring the women of Kansas to join.
