Description A letter on War Department stationary from Adjutant General Henry Pinckney McCain to Charles B. Congressman Charles B. Timberlake, dated May 10, 1917.

The letter reads:
My dear Sir:
I beg leave to acknowledge receipt of your letter of May 5, 1917, inclosing a copy of a letter addressed to you my Mr. John H. Price, of Littleton, Colorado, relative to attendance at a training camp for reserve officers, stating that he is one month under age, and in response thereto to advice you that the minimum age limit of 20 years and 9 months will be adhered to. Applications for camp that may follow may be submitted on and after June 1, 1917. Very truly yours,
Bears the signature of Henry Pinckney McCain.

A stain can be seen to the left of the signature, and WTG is written in the top right-hand corner of the letter. Rust stains from a paper clip can be seen on the back of the letter.
