Lorenz Lachner
Soldier with the 10th Bavarian Infantry
Regiment, 1st Company

[right side]
Prayerful remembrance of the honorable young man Lorenz Lachner, master tailor in Feldkirchen, soldier in the 10th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 1st Company, who, on 19 November 1916, after 27 months of loyal fulfilment of his duties and at the age of 34 years, suffered a hero's death due to a sling mine near Wicres (Northern France).

Now we can't offer you anything more,
Can't gladden you with anything more,
Can't strew a handful of blossoms
Upon your hill.
We could not see you die
And couldn't stand at your grave.
Rest gently in foreign soil!

My Jesus, Mercy!
Our Father.Ave Maria.
