Inscribed postcard sent to Alexandre Orlowski when he was in the Philoppopolis prisoner of war camp. Inscription written in French.
From the service of Count Alexandre Orlowski. The Count joined the French Army and received a second lieutenant's commission. He was assigned to the 8th Regiment of the Chasseurs d'Afrique, which was part of the Army of Africa. Orlowski was captured by Bulgarians on the Salonika Front and was a prisoner in the Goino Pauicheievo (by July 1916) Philoppopolis (Plovdiv) (by July 1918) prisoner of war camp in Bulgaria.
