An honorable discharge from the Kansas National Guard for William Davis. Due to the fact that he was drafted into the regular army as a private on July 3, 1917
States that his original enlistment into the Kansas National Guard was on June 16, 1917 at Oskaloosa Kansas and at that time he was listed as a single farmer of good health, age 22, standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall with blue eyes, light hair, and fair complexion. He was noted as having excellent character while serving honestly and faithfully will not having any knowledge of mounted horsemanship.
