Description A sympathy card from the Military Sisterhood of Oskaloosa, Kansas dated December 25th, 1918.

On the recto in blue cursive text is written 'With Sincere Sympathy, His life in the balance, Jesus counted not dear, but poured it out for the truth; So our soldier lad for the course we hold right has offered the gift of his youth. Oh, never is liberty gained without price it is brought through the anguish of others; And no lan hath love that is greater than this, that he lay down his life for his brothers. E.A. Located above this poem is a gold star.
