Description German Death Announcement

Interior Translation:

In prayerful memory of the virtuous young man Thomas Aendecker, farmer's son from Neudeck, soldier with the 26th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 1st Company, who, in his 34th year, fell on the field of honor on 11 November 1916 in Romania due to a headshot.

You fought for the Fatherland,
How difficult was the departure;
Now you rest in foreign land,
We won't see each other anymore.
Most beloved, rest in peace,
May the foreign soil be light.
We gladly bear what God has appointed,
Our path points upward as well.
You have endured and suffered
Your great pain.
Your dear, loyal heart
Has bled out and grown cold.
You left us all too early,
Your love is no longer troubled.
Your growing cold and pale
Struck us deep and heavy wounds.
