A letter on War Department stationary from a captain at the Military Training Division to Mr. John H. Price regarding an application for the Officers' Reserve Corps, dated April 29, 1917.
The letter reads:
1.The Department Commander directs me to return your application herewith and to inform you that you are under the minimum age for commission on the Officers' Reserve Corps.
2.It is suggested that you continue your military training as to doubt more officers will be called for within a few months and you will then be eligible.
The paper bears the signiture of a captain.
From the service of Musician, later 2nd Lieutenant John Hoover Price, 25th Cavalry Band, then Band, Headquarters 83rd Field Artillery, then 19th Training Battery, Field Artillery Command Officers' Training School, Camp Zachary Taylor, Kentucky.
