Recommendation Letter for George McCormac from Maurice W. Sheehy, 2nd Lieut. Air service, American Expeditionary Forces, Air Service supply section, spare parts sub division, 2nd Reserve Park, APO 702. Two signed copies:/
To: President, Examining Board for commissions
1.I take pleasure in recommending Corporal George L. McCormac, of 658th Aero Squadron for a Commission, on a non-flying status, in the Air Service.
2.For some time Corporal McCromac has been on duty with this Division. First as a l/cl. Private and later as Corporal, and is at present on duty at this Park in an executive capacity.
3.I have been able to learn from Corporal McCormac's work with this Division that he has had considerable experience with Army paper work and has also had experience with men, as evidenced by his executive ability. He is very familiar with Army work in general.
4.I believe Corporal McCormac to possess the necessary qualifications of an Officer in the U.S. Army, and heartily recommend him for such commission.
