Description Hat, U.S., YMCA, regulation pattern wide brimmed hat made of "French Blue" wool. Brim is 5.5 cm wide with concentric stitching as reinforcement. Top of crown consists of four quarters. Hat band is 4 cm wide and connects for form bow at the back. Standard YMCA insignia of embroidered red thread on blue wool background is attached to front of hat. Insignia measures: W 535 cm x H 4.5 cm. Lining of hat is blue silk with gold tailor's label reading, "Leve H. Frank & Co., New York." Sweatband is tan leatherette. Slight moth damage to front of brim, left front of hat band and dnear rear bow.

From the service of Miss Eleanor E. Washburn of Pine Grove - Chicago, Illinois. Miss Washburn served as a member of the Lyceum, providing entertainment for US troops on leave in Aix-les-Bains, France. Eleanor Wasburn arrived overseas in France January, 1919 and returned to the United States aboard Cap Finisterre Auugst 1919.
